FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Short answers; the longer ones are in How it works.
Does AI compute my tax?
No. A deterministic rules engine computes every figure from the facts you confirmed. AI reads your documents and explains the result, and it is blocked from changing a number.
Who signs my return or report?
A registered Income Tax Practitioner certifies tax returns and an enrolled advocate certifies land, traffic and family work; their registration number is recorded with the signature. Where an Edge LAW administrator approves a case instead, the document says plainly that it is not certified by a registered practitioner. Family matters are always certified by an advocate.
Do you file my return with the NBR?
No. You receive a review-ready return pack to submit yourself, or through your chamber.
When do I pay?
After the practitioner has approved your case and before you download the deliverable. The price is shown before you start.
What happens to my documents?
They are encrypted before storage with a key of their own, kept for the legal retention period, then purged. Your TIN and NID are encrypted and never shown in full.
Can I use it without a smartphone?
Yes. It works in any browser, and some services are also available over WhatsApp.
What does the DRAFT banner mean?
The rule file used has not yet been verified by a practitioner. The computation is shown for review but cannot be approved for delivery.
Is my family matter private?
Family cases are marked sensitive: help lines are shown first, the flag list is hidden from the client's screen, and a quick-exit button hides the page at once.
Ready when you are
The price is shown before you start, and you pay only after the practitioner has approved your work.
